- This season begins the eleventh school year featured during the series.
- The series was officially renewed for season 31 on January 25, 2017, after it was announced that seasons 29 & 30 would feature one school year.
- This is the fourth season to feature only 13 episodes after Seasons 25, 27, and 29.
- Due to the school closing down at the end of this year, all incoming juniors were transferred to nearby Anchor Bay High School, with whom the school would be merging with. All freshmen, sophomores, and seniors continued attending Lake Munro during its final year, with the former students transferring to Anchor Bay for the 2019-2020 school year.
