Maleek Johnson (2001–2019) was a senior (grade 12) at Lake Munro High School.
Character History[]
Starts Lake Munro in season 30 as a junior, he is a quiet student who is secretive about his home life. He becomes fast friends with Skai and it is later revealed that they knew each other from their previous school. He develops a crush on her, but doesn’t act on it. Later, Noah feels threatened by Maleek when he gets very close with Skai, who Noah is dating. Maleek and Skai begin to hang out more often making Noah even more jealous. Later, when Skai has her baby Maleek comes to the hospital to show support. Later, he spends a lot of time with Skai and the baby at her house. This angers Noah and he decides to follow Maleek home from school one day. When he does he sees that Maleek lives in a beat up house in bad condition and that his mother is too worried about herself, men, and her drugs to even notice him. In season 31, he and Noah become friends afte they decide to put their differences aside. Later, he struggles to get his school work done on time which angers his teachers. Later, he babysits Michaela when Noah and Skai go to the Halloween dance. Later, he is called to the principal's office about his failing grades and is warned that he may not graduate on time. In season 32, he begins talking to Ava. They develop feelings for each other and begin to date. Later, Maleek wants to take Ava out on their first offical date. He asks Noah to help him get ready. While they are getting ready, they hear glass break. They call 911, but two men burst into the room and see Noah and Maleek. They fire two shots and leave the house. The police arrive and Noah and Maleek are taken by ambulance to the hospital, however Maleek passes away in the ambulance due to blood loss.
